Remembering Margaret Young Renihan
It is with great sadness that we report the passing of Margaret Young Renihan of Burbank, California on Monday, May 18th. Margaret was a respected AKC judge of many breeds, including Best in Show, and all Hound, Terrier, Toy and Non-Sporting breeds. She was popular with fellow judges and exhibitors alike. She was a mother of three children, Christine, Laura, and Phil.
As a breeder, she and her husband Fred bred various Terrier breeds, including Bedlington Terriers, Kerry Blue Terriers, and Lakeland Terriers. Notably, Margaret Young Renihan was responsible for the idea and formation of the Great Western Terrier Association of Southern California in the 1960s. She continued to serve the club as Honorary President in recent years.
Margaret Young Renihan will be missed by all who knew her. Our thoughts are prayers are with her family and friends.
