Animal Abuse Suspect Jailed in Iowa
The manhunt for a local man accused of neglecting prized show dogs to the point of starvation is over.
Authorities in Council Bluffs, Iowa confirmed Thursday night that Nicholas Lynn Patterson had turned himself in. He was booked in to the Pottawattamie County Jail at 8:31 p.m. CDT, officials said. Now local officials will begin the process to return Patterson back to Alexander City where he will face multiple charges.
His surrender came after a bizarre two days where he took to social media to say he would end his time on the run. He also called The Outlook to say he would turn himself in and tried to explain what happened in the abuse case and why he ran.
