AKC Introduces New Online Legislative Action Center
New York, NY – AKC is pleased to announce the launch of a new online Legislative Action Center (http://cqrcengage.com/akc/lac) (LAC). The microsite, designed by the AKC Government Relations Team, is designed to make it easier for dog lovers to learn more about key political issues that impact dogs and dog ownership. The site is accessible from the AKC.org homepage and from the GR webpage, www.akc.org/government-relations.
New features on the site include tabs for the Government Relations blogs, educational and advocacy resources, a listing of legislative alerts, a tool to identify your representative, the GR twitter feed and a tab for supporting the efforts of the Canine Legislative Support Fund or Political Action Committee.
Alerts posted on the LAC homepage provide a helpful tool that allows constituents to contact their representative using key talking points, without having to leave the site. In the coming months, this feature will also be made available through a mobile app.
The LAC is also integrated with the Government Relations page on AKC.org to provide easy access to the familiar resources such as the GR toolbox, tools for monitoring the state and federal bills that AKC is tracking, newsletters, economic information, educational tools, position statements and general information about AKC Government Relations.
We urge you to view a video introduction (http://cqrcengage.com/akc/lac) to the new Legislative Action Center. Questions may be directed to the GR team atdoglaw@akc.org or 919-816-3720.
