2012 National Owner-Handler Series Top Dog Rankings Now Available On AKC Website
New York, NY – The American Kennel Club® (AKC®) has released the 2012 top dog rankings for the inaugural year of the AKC National Owner-Handler Series (NOHS). Owner-handlers can search for their dog’s ranking on the AKC website. Rankings are compiled based on the AKC National Owner-Handler Series Point Schedule for Best of Breed, Group and Best in Show placements.
“Thank you to all who participated in the AKC National Owner-Handler Series this year. We congratulate the dogs and their owner-handlers that topped the NOHS rankings for 2012,” said AKC Director of Event Operations Bobby Birdsong. “We look forward to seeing our 2012 dogs, as well as the 2013 qualifiers, at the end-of-year competition in 2013.”
The dogs that finish ranked in the top ten (plus ties) for their breed in the 2012 or 2013 qualifying years will be invited to the inaugural AKC National Owner-Handler Series end-of-year competition to be held in conjunction with the 2013 AKC/Eukanuba National Championship in Orlando, Florida. The 2012 qualifying year ended October 10, 2012. The qualifying period for the 2013 qualifying year began October 11, 2012 and runs through October 9, 2013. Current 2013 rankings are also available on the AKC website.
