AKC NOHS Finals Best in Show Winner Crowned in Orlando
The AKC National Owner-Handled Series (NOHS) Finals Best in Show honors went to GCH CH Divine’s Tropical Breeze, a Maltese known affectionately as “Kiwi” owned and handled by Sandy Bingham-Porter. The 2014 NOHS Finals Best in Show winner was crowned by judge Mrs. Charlotte Patterson this evening.
“The AKC National Owner-Handled Series Finals celebrates the skill and dedication of the owner-handler and we congratulate all the dogs that topped the NOHS rankings for 2014,” said Bri Tesarz, Manager, Dog Show Rules & Programs. “We’re happy to have welcomed so many quality dogs to this year’s event and congratulate our winner!”
The top ten owner-handled dogs (plus ties) in each breed from the 2014 qualifying year were invited to compete in the Finals, and the 610 competitors entered represented 171 different breeds.
Group Winners
After winning their Best of Breed competitions, the following top dogs went on to win in their respective groups and compete for AKC National Owner-Handled Series Finals Best in Show:
Sporting: GCH CH Christyview Rock N’ Roll Hall Of Famer CD GN RAE, an Irish Setter known as “Blake” owned by Bobbi Fisher of Dover, Ohio.
Hound: GCH CH Soyara’s The Flying Dutchman, a Borzoi known as “Dutch” owned by Prudence and Gregory Hlatky of Rosharon, Texas.
Working: GCH CH Samaljankan’s I’M The One At Nyrakym, an Alaskan Malamute known as “Tycho” owned by Karyn Colman & Jari Nirhamo of Bloomsbury, New Jersey.
Terrier: GCH CH Camio’s Educated Exemplar, a Norwich Terrier owned by Catherine A. Rogers of Florence, Kentucky.
Toy: GCH CH Divine’s Tropical Breeze, a Maltese known as “Kiwi” owned by Sandy Bingham-Porter of Charleston, Illinois.
Non-Sporting: GCH CH R-Lee Sparkle Plenty, a Chinese Shar-Pei known as “Sparkle” owned by Larry and Deena Harvey of Forney, Texas.
Herding: GCH CH Majestic Elite Clever Endeavor PT, a Border Collie known as “Slick” owned by Ricki Johnson, J. Frank Baylis and Ronni Delay of Louisville, Kentucky.
