Remembering Dr. Goran Bodegard
We received the sad news that Dr. Goran Bodegard of Stockholm, Sweden passed away this week at 80 years old. Dr. Bodegard was a world renowned breeder of Greyhounds and also a highly respected Swedish FCI Judge of All Breeds.
Dr. Bodegard’s passion for breeding Greyhounds began with his first litter in 1966. As a judge, his prestigious assignments included Crufts, the World Dog Show, and Australian Royal Dog Shows. He judged Best in Show on five continents, including the United States of America. He was the longest standing judge of the Swedish Kennel Club.
Professionally, Dr. Bodegard made an impact as a pediatrician, psychoanalyst, and child psychiatrist.
