AKC Canine Health Foundation Announces Matching Donation for Anniversary Endowment Campaign
The AKC Canine Health Foundation (CHF) announces that in honor of its 25th anniversary, all members of the Foundation’s Board of Directors have generously agreed to match donations received from new or lapsed donors* in support of the CHF Endowment Fund, up to a cumulative total of $155,000.
Founded in 1995 by the American Kennel Club, CHF is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the health of all dogs and their owners by funding scientific research and disseminating health information to help prevent, treat and cure canine disease. Over the past 25 years, CHF-funded researchers have made great progress in our understanding of canine diseases such as exercise-induced collapse, hepatic copper toxicosis, cancer, epilepsy, and more. In addition to supporting the infrastructure that accelerates innovations and breakthroughs in canine health research, the CHF Endowment Fund offers secure sources of revenue for the future.
“The CHF Endowment Fund provides financial stability and sustainability, and results in consistent support for the Foundation’s research mission and organizational needs,” says Dr. J. Charles Garvin, Chairman of CHF’s Board of Directors. “My fellow board members and I believe strongly in the Foundation’s proven ability to positively impact canine health for years to come. We encourage others to join us in supporting CHF’s unique mission to fund health research specifically to benefit the dogs we love.”
CHF’s full research portfolio, including educational grants, is available at www.akcchf.org/portfolio. Individuals and dog clubs interested in supporting CHF’s Endowment Fund can contribute at www.akcchf.org/endowment.
