Beating thousands of other dogs, King (Ch King Arthur Van Foliny Home), a Fox Terrier (Wire) has qualified for the final of Crufts after winning Best in Group for the Terrier group today.

King, aged 2, will now compete for the prestigious title of Best in Show on Sunday against just six other dogs at the world’s greatest dog show, Crufts at the NEC in Birmingham. More than 21,000 dogs are competing over the four days of the show for the chance to win the most celebrated title in the world of dogs.

King’s proud handler, Warren Bradley, from Aberdare, South Wales, together with King will be returning to the NEC Arena on the evening of Sunday March 9th for the highly anticipated Crufts 2014 final. Only seven dogs make it all the way through to the final, which will be watched by thousands in the arena and millions more worldwide as it will be televised live on Channel 4 and streamed on the official Crufts YouTube Channel -www.youtube.com/crufts.

Warren said: “I’m speechless. It’s a great honour to show this dog at the world’s greatest dog show. King is a great dog and I’m looking forward to Sunday.”

Owners, Ronnie and Dieny De Munter, have cancelled their travel plans as they were planning to go back to Belgium this evening: “It’s a dream come true and we’re so proud of King. We’re very excited and we’re really looking forward to Best in Show. ”

Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club Secretary, said: “We were delighted to see King chosen as the Best in Group winner today, he is such a lovely dog that clearly loves being in the show ring and has a great relationship with his handler.

“Reaching the Best in Show final at Crufts is a fabulous achievement for any dog, and we wish King the very best for the final. I’m sure that all of South Wales and Belgium will be tuning in to Channel 4 and rooting for them to win on Sunday evening.”
