Middlesex Bearded Collie Wins Group At Crufts And Qualifies For Live Channel 4 Final

Beating thousands of other dogs, Fayme (CH Victory Wind’s Ghost Whisperer For Snowmead JW), a Bearded Collie from Sunbury-On-Thames, Middlesex won Best in Group for Pastoral dogs today and qualified for the final of Crufts.

Fayme, aged three will now compete for the prestigious title of Best in Show on Sunday against just six other dogs at the world’s greatest dog show, Crufts at the NEC in Birmingham. More than 21,000 dogs are competing over the four days of the show for the chance to win the most celebrated title in the world of dogs.

Owner, Justine Waldron and Fayme will be returning to the Genting Arena – the main arena at the NEC – on the evening of Sunday March 8th for the highly anticipated Crufts 2015 final. Only seven dogs make it all the way through to the final, which will be watched by thousands in the arena and millions more worldwide as it will be televised live on Channel 4 and streamed on the official Crufts YouTube Channel -www.youtube.com/crufts.

Proud owner Justine said: “It’s absolutely amazing, I simply can’t believe it. I’ve been coming to Crufts for 30 years and it’s the first time I’ve ever won with a Bearded Collie, it’s just a fantastic experience. Fayme loves life, loves playing outside and then coming in and falling asleep on the sofa with her legs in the air.

“It hasn’t sunk in yet that we’re back on Sunday for Best in Show. All plans for Sunday have now been cancelled.

“Fayme will definitely have a reward; she’ll probably have some sausages as they’re her favourite.”

Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club Secretary, said: “Congratulations to Fayme for winning Best in Group for Pastoral dogs today.

“Crufts celebrates healthy, happy dogs and recognises the special and unique bond between dogs and their owners. Fayme is such a lovely dog who clearly loves being in the show ring and has a great relationship with her handler.

“Fayme and Justine should be very proud of reaching the Best in Show final – it’s an incredible achievement and not one many get to experience. We wish them all the best for Sunday.”
