Update: Canine Chronicle Virtual Dog Show – You Be The Judge! – Italian Greyhounds
It is time to put your thinking caps on! For today’s Virtual Dog Show, we are asking our readers to be the judge and place the following three Italian Greyhound bitches First, Second and Third AND to tell us why.
The complete AKC Official Standard for Italian Greyhounds is available online here. As quoted from the AKC Standard, the general appearance of the Italian Greyhound is as follows:
The Italian Greyhound is very similar to the Greyhound, but much smaller and more slender in all proportions and of ideal elegance and grace.
Body Of medium length, short coupled; high at withers, back curved and drooping at hindquarters, the highest point of curve at start of loin, creating a definite tuck – up at flanks . Shoulders – Long and sloping.
UPDATE: The majority of our “at home” judges chose Bitch C as their first place. Thank you for your enthusiastic participation!
If you have 3 dog photos of your own you would like to share for this series or have any feedback – please email Cheslie at cheslie@caninechronicle.com. We look forward to your participation!
