2016 World Dog Show – Moscow – June 23 – 26

World Dog Show 2016, which is coinciding with the RKF 25-th anniversary, will become the most significant event not only for Russian dog lovers, but also for everybody, who is involved in cynology, all over the world.

RKF is going to host more than 25 000 dogs of 300 breeds from 40 countries all over the world. More than 100 judges well known all over the world are invited to judge at World Dog Show 2016.

In the framework of WDS 2016 there will be organized the following events: Obedience World Championship, Freestyle World Championship, Dog Dance World Championship, Junior Handler Competition and etc. On the first day of the Show, 23rd June, International Terrier Championship “INTERRA” will be held.

On Dog Dance World Championship (23 – 26 June 2016) more than 80 dogs and their owners from over than 10 countries will take part. Among the judging committee, there will be famous sportsmen, experienced judges from the UK, Switzerland, Finland and the Netherlands. During 2 days the team competitions will take place. On the last day, 26 June, there will be final competitions where the World Champions will be chosen from 10 best dance couples.

According to the organizers of the Obedience World Championship (30 June – 3 July 2016), more than 100 dogs and their owners will compete for the title of World Champion in both individual and team scoring. On the last day, there will be final competitions where the World Champion will be chosen from the group of 20 best sportsmen! The chief judge of the Championship will be an expert from Finland, FCI delegate from Obedience Commission Mrs. Carina Savander-Ranne.

On 23rd June 2016 the largest International Dog Show of Terriers “INTERRA” will take place in the framework of World Dog Show 2016. More than 1 500 beautiful dogs of 36 terrier breeds are expected to participate in the championship.

On the Main Ring of WDS-2016 there will be shown not only Best in Show Competitions, but also such events as: presentation of national breeds in traditional Russian style, show-performance with participation of police dogs, dog Frisbee, dog dance, competition in the “dog” football etc.

Currently RKF is in process of solving the case of simplifying Visa Regime for foreign judges and participants of WDS-2016. In a short time the sample of form will be published on the website.

WDS 2016 is held in the largest international exposition center in Russia, IEC “CROCUS EXPO”. At present “CROCUS EXPO” is one of the World’s biggest upscale exhibition centers. 4 spacious halls of 65 000 sq.m., united with corridors, have already been reserved by RKF. 100 rings will be placed in 4 halls. Free parking on 20,000 cars and additional parking for 6,000 cars are located in the neighborhood of the Expo center. Parking space is suitable for both family cars and minivans. On the territory of Crocus Expo there is a hotel, food courts, cafes, several restaurants, dog walking area. Moreover, Crocus Expo has a convenient location. The Venue is located in the intersection of main highways, a metro station “Myakinino” with exit doors directly to the pavilions.

Moscow is the largest transport connection point in Russia. 4 airports and 9 largest railroad stations are able to welcome passengers from any destination in the World. Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo are conveniently located within close proximity to the city, and any person can easily get from both of these airports to any part of the city using the fast train AeroExpress.

Moscow is rich with its sightseeing. The Moscow Kremlin and Red Square, Church of the Ascension and Novodevichy Cathedral are included in the UNESCO World Heritage list, and the guests of the capital can get a truly unforgettable experience.You will also have a great possibility to visit cultural capital of Russia – Saint Petersburg. It will take you 3 hours by speed train to reach the banks of the river Neva. In 2016 RKF will celebrate its 25th anniversary!
