Table Talk

It has been a windy but enjoyable weekend out in Boulder City, NV near Las Vegas! Keith Pautz, the show chair along with his committee continue to do a remarkable job providing an excellent experience for exhibitors. Part of their outstanding hospitality includes free lunch for exhibitors, and cupcakes during the groups. The venue is just gorgeous with beautiful, lush, green grass and rings set with convenient proximity to grooming and parking. With so many national specialties this month, the entry was down a bit, but if your schedule allows, I suggest you consider adding this show to your schedule next year.

It was great catching up with Arley Hussin who I almost did not recognize without his hat!!!! Such a beautiful smiling face is difficult to see with the hat. Arley is 86 years young and still going strong.

The sport of purebred dogs continues to mourn the loss of one of our young who was taken from us much too early. My sincere condolences to the friends and family of Taylor Lane. We cannot imagine what you are feeling right now.

Huge congratulations to Colton Johnson on his most recent NPC Bodybuilding show. To just get on stage is an accomplishment itself, but to finish in the top 3 in such a competitive field is amazing. The dedication and discipline required to be successful in the sport is unimaginable.

Happy Anniversary to my dear friend and Shar-Pei enthusiast Tammy Bohlke and her husband, Gregg.

Birthday wishes to Amy Booth, Kathy Heimann and Jill Bell. A very special Happy Birthday to Frank Sabella! We just don’t get to see enough of Frank these days. He’s a great dog man and resource of information about purebred dogs. It would be great to see him in the center of the ring more often.

Enjoy the fall my friends and keep me posted on whats going on in the dog world. Please email me with special events, trips being planned, etc.

Be safe out there! Until next time……
