Table Talk
The shows in Virginia this past weekend were cancelled due to the messy weather and flooding there. Kudos to Harry Miller and crew for all of your hard work helping folks and keeping them safe! People really have no idea how tough Harry’s job is: Please make sure to give the men in orange a nod when you see them, and by all means, BE NICE! In my opinion erring on side of caution and cancelling shows for the safety of exhibitors and dogs is the RIGHT decision.
A very happy 92nd birthday to Clint Harris this month. I saw Clint a few months back and he looked GREAT! Thanks Judy English Murray for the heads-up regarding this milestone. Did you guys know that Judy used to work for Clint back in the day??? I am sure Clint would love to hear from old friends and acquaintances with happy birthday wishes. He can be contacted at:

As I hope most of you are aware, Montreal, Canada has initiated very strict Breed Specific Legislation (BSL) against Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes. This BSL has caused an influx of dogs to local shelters and humane societies. It is frightening to me that the government can make these blanket laws, and pass them with such uneducated judgement. The fancy, as a whole, needs to be cognizant of these efforts and do everything possible to protect our rights, and our dogs. Keep your eyes and ears open and do what you can to prevent this type of action in your locale.
Birthday wishes also to Andrea Robins, Loran Morgan, Cindy Stansell, Megan Hof, Karen Mammano and Jon Cole.
A kind reminder to all of you travelers out there: CHECK YOUR TIRES!!!!! Many of our fellow fanciers have had blowouts lately. Check your tread: When in doubt, REPLACE!
As the weather turns chilly this fall, the last of the outdoor shows in the Midwest and East can be challenging: be prepared for what you may encounter – Mother Nature does have a mind of her own!
