Table Talk

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your kind words and feedback regarding Table Talk.  The column is evolving into a great part of many people’s weekly reading, and for that I am very appreciative!  Keep sending me ideas and special dates for the column. Your input is greatly appreciated and welcome!

Somehow, last week, I neglected to give a HUGE shout out to Susan Bleckley who came to the Santa Ana shows with her other half, Frank.  It was so awesome to see Sue out and about with that infectious smile and determination.  I look forward to seeing you again real soon girlfriend and just want to say… keep up the amazing work!

The Black Mountain shows in October have a change of venue.  The Primm venue no longer wants dogs at their property.  Keith Pautz and his committee worked very hard to secure an acceptable venue and the show WILL go on thanks to their hard work.  The two-day show will now be held at Veterans Memorial Park in Las Vegas.  The weather at that time of year can be cooler so if you plan to attend you may want to pack for both warm and cool temps!!!!  They have secured sufficient tenting for grooming, etc. and will also once again provide wonderful exhibitor hospitality.

I was saddened to hear that Ron Scott was a bit under the weather:  After a short stay in the hospital, I hear he is home and on the mend.  Get well quickly and take care of yourself my friend!

Thoughts and prayers are with Bergit and Hans Kabel as she fights a serious illness.  Bergit – the entire fancy is thinking about you and sending good thoughts to you and your family.

Our own Cheslie Pickett Smithey took a journey across the pond to the Royal in Melbourne, Australia to judge juniors.  I can’t wait to hear about the journey and her judging experience!

Birthday wishes this week go to Colton Johnson, Val Atkinson, Julie Lee and Mandy Clevenger.
