This weekend’s travels took me to Costa Mesa, CA where the Santa Ana Valley Kennel Club relocated their two-day show at the Orange County fairgrounds, the same facility used for the Holiday Cluster in December. This is a great venue for a show, and new Co-Chairs Joe Berkau and Berk Hughes did a stupendous job! Kudos to you both and the SAVKC for a job well done!
I was saddened to hear of the passing of Joe Tacker and Kathy Grosso this past week. On a happier note, Don Powell and Liz Holle were married this past weekend on the beach in Duck, North Carolina. I understand it was a lovely venue for a quaint wedding. We wish the popular couple all the best for many happy years to come!
Congrats to Steve Keating on becoming the newest member of the “All-Rounder” club. I will have more information later on Steve’s journey through our sport while reaching the ultimate destination for a judge. He is very proud of moving through the ranks as an owner-handler.
Birthday wishes to Eugene Blake who turned 80 years young this past Sunday. Birthday wishes also to Nancy Hritzo-Trangmar, Susan St. John Brown, Rich Lawless, Holley Eldred, Grahm Miller, Michael Shepherd, Vickie Mauk and Dorothy Schuerman.
