Remembering Don Sutton

It is with great sadness and regret that we report the passing of Mr. Don Sutton of Dallas, Texas. Mr. Sutton was a respected AKC Judge of all Sporting, Toy, and Non-Sporting breeds as well as Best in Show. Mr. Sutton was a kind and knowledgeable friend to the sport of purebred dogs.

Don Sutton was closely involved in the sport of purebred dogs for many decades. His knowledge and dedication to the Pekingese breed was boundless. Mr. Sutton, along with his partner Dr. Steve Keating, was a successful breeder, owner, and handler of Pekingese under the Sutton Place prefix. Sutton Place was responsible for many outstanding Pekingese champions. Mr. Sutton dedicated much time to the Pekingese breed through local and national Pekingese kennel clubs and judges education.

The Canine Chronicle extends our sincere condolences to Dr. Steve Keating, and to his many friends following his tremendous loss. He will be sorely missed
