Join us at Canines & Cocktails, a gala to benefit the AKC Canine Health Foundation

Held in conjunction with the AKC National Championship in Orlando, FL, Canines & Cocktails is the AKC Canine Health Foundation’s (CHF) largest fundraising event. It brings together people passionate about dogs to celebrate annual achievements in canine health research.

Founded in 1995, CHF’s mission is to advance the health of all dogs and their owners by funding scientific research and supporting the dissemination of health information to prevent, treat and cure canine disease. In 2019, CHF awarded 46 new research grants totaling over $2.8 million to benefit canine health. CHF achieved a highest four-star rating from Charity Navigator for the second consecutive year and maintained their Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar, indicating that CHF exceeds industry standards for fiscal responsibility, accountability, and transparency and outperforms most charities in its category.

At this year’s gala, the President’s Award will be presented to Elanco Animal Health for their exceptional contribution to advancing canine health. The Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America, Berner Lovers, and the American Bullmastiff Association will be recognized as Distinguished Research Partners for their ongoing and outstanding commitment to support canine health research.
