In Loving Memory of Jacqueline Stacy
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Jackie Stacy, a beloved figure in the world of purebred dogs, who passed away on June 10, 2025. Jackie’s contribution to the canine community as an American Kennel Club (AKC) judge, respected breeder, and talented handler leaves behind an indelible legacy that will continue to inspire generations of dog lovers and professionals.
Jackie’s passion for dogs began at an early age obtaining her first Pomeranian at the age of 10. Jackie bred over 50 Pomeranian Champions as well as being the major influence in breeding programs for Maltese, Shih Tzu, and Skye Terriers prior to Terry and Jackie breeding the World Famous Tamarin Affenpinchers. In 1986 Jackie was voted Female Handler of the Year.
As a breeder, she was known for her commitment to excellence, producing dogs that not only excelled in conformation but were also beloved companions. Her extensive knowledge of breed standards and her unwavering dedication to improving the health and temperament of the dogs she worked with made her a trusted mentor to many in the sport.
Jackie was approved to judge all seven groups and Best In Show, and she enjoyed judging AKC events and shows around the world.
The Canine Chronicle extends our deepest condolences to her husband Terry, her family, and friends. She will be greatly missed by many.
